Dr. Maurice Sholas & Dawn Domengeaux Lapeyrolerie
Merlin the Magician XXXIX, DR. MAURICE SHOLAS was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He has traveled the country gathering the educational tools needed for a career of service. For college, he attended Southern University (Baton Rouge), majoring in Biology with an emphasis in Spanish. This foundation allowed a smooth transition to the MD-PhD Program at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Sholas completed Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the Long School of Medicine in San Antonio. Lastly, he completed subspecialty training at Northwestern University’s top rated Shirley Ryan Ability Lab in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine. Concurrent with decades of clinical practice, Dr. Sholas founded Sholas Medical Consulting, LLC and became culturally embedded in New Orleans through volunteer work, philanthropy, and membership in the Zulu Social Aid and Pleasure Club and the Krewe of King Arthur.
Morgana le Faye XXXIX, DAWN DOMENGEAUX LAPEYROLERIE is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. Dawn received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Southern University at New Orleans and her graduate degree in Higher Education Administration from The University of Akron. Dawn has over 15 years’ experience in government administration and currently works at the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority as the Director of Workforce Development. Dawn is also a certified Notary Public in Louisiana. Dawn has worked within the non-profit sector and in higher education at the University of South Carolina, the University of Akron, and the Louisiana Technical College. She is a 27-year member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and is an active member of the New Orleans Alumnae Chapter. Dawn lives with her husband Brian in Gentilly Terrace. She is a proud alum of McDonogh #35 Senior High School-GEAUX Roneagles! She is also a HUGE New Orleans Saints fan and season ticket holder. WHO DAT! And Hail King Arthur!
