King Arthur is committed to raising the bar every year, and this year’s parade is no exception. We’re thrilled to announce the creation of a brand new float, designed exclusively for our Maids and Dukes.
This will be the longest single-level float we’ve ever built, and we can’t wait for everyone to see it on St. Charles Avenue!
Each year, King Arthur hosts a formal Mardi Gras Ball with a presentation of the year’s royalty. Our royal court includes selected krewe members portraying characters of the King Arthur universe including King Arthur, Queen Guinevere, Merlin, Morgana, Sirs Lancelot and Dagonet. Elaborately Costumed Maids, Dukes, Princes, and Princesses complete the royal court.
Did you know that the back of our Grail float features a hand-painted Memorial Scroll honoring Krewe members who have passed since our last parade?
