Fifty years ago, the Captain of King Arthur embarked on the journey that has brought us to where we are today. Although this isn’t King Arthur’s 50th parade, it marks the anniversary of the Krewe’s beginning.
This year’s parade is a tribute to the many krewes and individuals who have supported King Arthur throughout the years. Each float will highlight one of the various gods represented in Carnival by these krewes.
Each year, King Arthur hosts a formal Mardi Gras Ball with a presentation of the year’s royalty. Our royal court includes selected krewe members portraying characters of the King Arthur universe including King Arthur, Queen Guinevere, Merlin, Morgana, Sirs Lancelot and Dagonet.
